It’s been about 5, 6 or 7 days I’m in Bali, and have lived in all the colors on a personal level. The major activity that you experience in the island and its surroundings have made me leave the blog as a secondary issue.

The arrival in Bali was via Kuala Lumpur. Things did not began well as the plane that came from Hong Kong did with delay (rain and more rain!) I could not connect with the one to go to Denpasar (Bali’s airport). So I spent a night in KL where, by chance, I ended up sleeping in the same small hotel/hole than I did with Mar in 2008 (before going to Indonesia as well). The positive point is that in the heart of KL, Bukit Bintang Street area (remember this name to take the metro from the bus station, it will take you 15 min to get there) there are many restaurants in the street the street where you can eat very, very well!. That´s one of of the best local places I’ve eaten in Asia.

The next day at 6 am I left to Bali. First stop: Legian, Kuta near the south east of Bali, just 20 minutes from the airport. Well, the place is horrible but if you surf, is ok because beaches are awesome to practice surfing as a beginner level.

Kuta and Legian are two cities that of the southeast coast that are virtually together: but you must avoid them!, Unless you want to start in the world of surfing. The beaches are like in Platja d’Aro, Lloret atmosphere … at his side is Lloret is a paradise!.

Directed by Fernando Muñoz and Maartje (after a great Balinese massage) the next day I went to the Gili islands! Specifically to one of the 3: Trawangan: The best experience I have had during the 4 trips I have done in Asia (equivalent to more than 5 months traveling!)

To go to Gili, in the current season (low), it will cost you 45 euros (one way) for what they come to pick you up with a shuttle at your hotel and ride you to the port. Change to a speed boat that will leave you in an hour at Trawangan.

The island is not very big, I give it around walking in an hour. At the arrival at the beach there are some bars, restaurants and the major and most small hotel, bungalows … but only a little walk north or south tranquility is the daily bread. Although at the center I was in a quiet place. I looked to be about 500 feet from the center. So, I went to Windy Bungalows, where Raja +62- (0) 0891907659523, ex-footballer of the Indonesia national team and manager, is a super nice guy that makes the experience even greater!.

Further north the beaches are deserted and paradisiacal places you can find the picture of one of the largest volcanoes on the island of Bali.

The sunsets were amazing, and at night, after eating some local food, head to Rudy’s …! What a wonderful bar!, Very cool waiters!, Nice people around…great DJ … and more! … But now I do not want to prolong.

Wile enjoying the great atmosphere of the pub (a bar is outside, in the heart of the center and just infront of the beach) I could live the most incredible moments of this trip, along with the aforementioned Mr. Raja, those were probably the best moments I have had after 5 months traveling. (I should stop writing here…).

Besides, If you want Magic Mushroms , this is the place!. But I didn’t even touch them

My fiasco, my mistake, something that I have repented for each minute that has passed since then and that made me “suffer” a lot (main reason why I had not updated the blog) was leving Trawangan. After two days, I thought it would make sufficient time to do other things, so I decided to return to the island of Bali, and to visit a volcano … And I know what else … something that has not been worth iat all compared to Gili. I was missing Trawalgan´s  sunsets, the night life (hehehe), great people I meet and I spend time with…. Conclusion: If you are in a place that you really like do not leave it!!, not even if you have to go to Hallon Bay, Angkor Wat…whatever is the amazing place that is waiting for you. Some things just happen once in life

Well, so I went to Ubud, a beautiful city in the heart of Bali, from where I can go visit volcanoes, rice fields… I have to say that it really was very beautiful …

The truth is that I have not enjoyed it much because psychologically my mind was not there…Besides the time was not the best, since the rainy season began and it was falling more and more drops gradually.

I made (for 50 euros! Expensive! …) an excursion to a volcano, to see the sunraise from it, with a lake at the bottom. I got up at 2:45 in the morning, a guide came to pick me up and took me to the foot of Mount Bagur. That wasn´t worth either. We also have some good ones in Catalunya.

At least during the trip, around 9am, the guide gave me a route through the surrounding rice fields, which are truly spectacular. Now that was worth it!

Newly arrived in Ubud I rented a motorbike to 3.5 euros, but … started raining at 2 pm! So little that I could do, so I spent my time trying to learn how the new Mac that I bought works.

Today I got up at 6:45, and after breakfast, at 9 am I went back to the South of Bali, visiting the different beaches recommended by friends and family (Mar). Only 48 hours remain!
